Android app in Chromebook?

Can the Android app be used with Chromebooks?

Instead of going for a tablet for better real estate to do the experiments, I was wondering if Chromebook could be a better alternative.

Why ?

Chromebooks with latest OS usually come with Widevine Level 1 support as well hence it would be able to support most media streaming services ( most android tablets lack this)
Can support Linux if required
It Comes with both touch and a "proper" keyboard.
These days cheaper than a tablet.

This has not been explored. Most users will prefer the default OS, ChromeOS , which is different from android, and only seems to support webapps instead of native android apps.

The OS does support Python, so perhaps the Desktop app can be packaged for ChromeOS?
